Maple Burl with African BlackWood inlay
We are going to be raising funds for next year’s Vision Walk which supports the Foundation Fighting Blindness and one way we will be doing that is to offer these hand made pens as gifts to anyone who donates directly to the Foundation Fighting Blindness over a certain amount. We will provide more info when the walk gets closer.
Each of the pens have the word HOPE written in braille on them. The dots are drilled in the wood that was chosen for the pen and then the dots are filled in with a contrasting wood. Once the wood is turned the braille characters are exposed. These three pens were made from varying types of maples and the dots were inlayed with an African BlackWood.
